| There
are 8 Provençal style bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, 2 living rooms - the
first with satellite TV, piano, X-Box, DVD/VCR and a large selection of
films and the second a library. There is a large kitchen/dining room
with open fireplace. In front of the villa is a vast terrace from which
to enjoy the spectacular views towards the bay of Cannes. |
| The
terrace also has an outdoor dining area, family gas BBQ & table
tennis in addition to a boules court. There are many activities in the area including golf,
paragliding, hiking, sailing and even creating your own perfume. La
Rivolte is an ideal base from which to explore the Côte d`Azur. Nice,
Cannes & Antibes are all just a short drive away, St. Tropez and
Monaco are further afield but an easy day's excursion. |
| The Grounds |
| The
villa is surrounded by two hectares of Mediterranean gardens with
exotic plants and trees including Agave Mexicanas, a huge Lebanese
cedar, palms, pine trees, fig trees, cypress, mimosa, oleanders, rose
bushes and 60 olive trees some of which are several hundred years old. |
| Immediately
in front of the villa is a wide terrace with amazing views across the
medieval town of Grasse with the Mediterranean in the background. There
are tables and chairs for cocktails and outdoor dining. The terrace is
dominated by 4 majestic Phoenix palms and large ancient olive pots
filled with geraniums. There is a lavender border in front of the house
and in the garden of Herb Cottage and also lemon and orange trees. |
| On
a sheltered lower terrace is the 12.5 metre swimming pool which can be
heated on request and at an extra charge when booked for a holiday rental. There is also a sauna on the pool terrace. |
